Google Cloud Names Courtroom5 in Gemini Enterprise for Legal Launch

Courtroom5 Joins Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal

Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Legal, a purpose-built AI platform for law firms and corporate legal departments — and Courtroom5 is named among the partners supplying it with legal data. In a post by Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, Courtroom5 appears under primary law, research, and public dockets, alongside Free Law Project’s CourtListener. The platform’s other launch partners include iManage, NetDocuments, Everlaw, RelativityOne, Thomson Reuters HighQ, and Harvey, with early adopters Cleary Gottlieb, Freshfields, Weil, and Williams & Connolly.

Courtroom5: Delivers jurisdiction-aware civil litigation datasets, procedural rules, and deadline calculation logic.

Courtroom5 reaches the platform through a Model Context Protocol connector that carries three tools built for people without lawyers: a case intake assessment, a deadline calculator, and next-step guidance. The connector covers civil matters — landlord-tenant disputes, debt collection, foreclosure, wrongful termination, wage claims, contract disputes, small claims, and family civil matters — in all 50 states, with the deadline calculator’s jurisdiction-specific data covering the 15 most active states for civil litigation at launch and the remainder rolling out afterward. Using it requires no Courtroom5 account, no sign-up, and no cost to the self-represented litigants who rely on it. Courtroom5 has published a full guide to Gemini Enterprise for Legal, including how administrators enable the connector.

We’ve been building with Google’s support since our earliest days as a startup. Bringing Courtroom5 into Gemini Enterprise for Legal isn’t a new relationship — it’s the next chapter. The 30 million Americans who face civil court alone every year don’t need another app to find; they need help to show up inside the tools they’re already using.
